Photographing your artwork
Here are tips to help you take good quality photos of your artwork to submit on-line:
1. You don’t need a fancy camera — you can use your phone.
2. Natural light. Artificial light can make the colours look odd. Take photos in an area with lots of natural light but avoid direct sunlight.

3. Get close.
Don’t leave dead space around your artwork.
Incorrect - lots of dead space
Correct - tightly framed
4. Get straight on.
Taking a photo from above, below or the side distorts perspective. Get straight on to your artwork.
